Andy Hughes has been exploring aspects of collisions between our increasingly packaged lifestyles and the resulting flow of waste matter. His new work includes collecting and integrating data streams about levels of toxicity in the human body and wider environment.
  • Hughes's work is exploratory and research-driven, using diverse media to engage with complex human/non-human, cultural, and environmental entanglements.
  • He obtained a First Class Degree in Fine Art at Cardiff University and an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art, London. In 1995 he moved to Cornwall and has a studio at the historical Porthmeor Studios in St Ives.
